Personal data are all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter ‘person concerned’). Identifiable is a natural person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by assignment to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more special characteristics that express the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

The person responsible is the person who decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data and who also carries them out accordingly.

Processor is another natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the data controller.

Recipient is a natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body to which personal data is disclosed.

Data subject’s consent is any voluntary, specific case, informed and unequivocal expression of consent in the form of a declaration or other clear affirmative act by which the data subject indicates his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal data.

Violation of the protection of personal data is a breach of security that leads to destruction, loss or alteration, whether unintentional or unlawful, or to unauthorized disclosure or access to personal data that has been transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.

The supervisory authority is an independent state body established by a Member State in accordance with Article 51 GDPR, which is responsible for monitoring compliance with data protection laws and regulations.

Visit our Website

When you visit our website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. Use of Cookies

1. In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Use of our feedback form

1. In order for you to give us feedback about your trip, we will give you the opportunity to share your opinion about the trip with us using a form at the end of your trip. This enables us to optimize our services and make our overall service more interesting for you as a user. For this purpose, the data you enter on our website via the feedback form (your e-mail address and your name or pseudonym specified in the feedback form, if provided, your profile picture, your rating submitted, your probability of recommendation, your experience report and the other data you provide) are stored by us at the time of sending in order to process your feedback accordingly.
2. If you wish to publish your feedback under your name and give us your consent, please enter your name in the feedback form instead of a pseudonym, otherwise direct personal reference is excluded.
3. You can object to the processing of your personal data at any time by sending an e-mail to privacy@trip.me or by declaring your objection to the processing of your personal data vis-à-vis the person(s) listed in Section 1.
4. We will delete the data arising in this context after the storage is no longer necessary or you request the deletion, or limit the processing if there are legal storage obligations.

Newsletter dispatch

1. With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about current data protection issues and events. The possible topics are listed in the declaration of consent.
2. We use the double opt-in procedure to subscribe to our newsletter. This means that after your registration we will send you an e-mail to the specified e-mail address in which we ask you to confirm that you would like the newsletter to be sent. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store your IP addresses and the time of registration and confirmation. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify a possible misuse of your personal data.
3. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The indication of further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. After your confirmation, we will save your e-mail address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR.
4. You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time and cancel the newsletter. You can declare your revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail, or by sending an e-mail to marketing@trip.me or by sending a message to the contact details given in the imprint.
5. We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter. For this analysis, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which represent single-pixel image files stored on our website. For the analysis, we link the data mentioned under 3 above (‘Visit our website’) and the web beacons with your e-mail address and an individual ID. Links received in the newsletter also contain this ID. The data is collected exclusively pseudonymized, i.e. the IDs are not linked to your other personal data.
6. You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each e-mail or by informing us of another contact method. The information is stored for as long as you have subscribed to the newsletter. After a cancellation, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously. Such tracking is also not possible if you have deactivated the display of images in your e-mail program by default. Use of our Agency Area

1. If you wish to become a partner and use our Agency Area, you must register by providing your email address, a password of your choice, your telephone number or your Skype Name. You must also specify the countries in which you work. We must also be informed of the name and website of the agency, the relationship between your private and business customers, the languages in which you can communicate and the software you mainly use. Google Analytics

Mixpanel

1. This website uses the web analysis service Mixpanel. to carry out statistical evaluations that enable us to optimize our offer and make it more attractive. The legal basis for the use of Mixpanel is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 p. f GDPR.

Google Adwords Conversion

1. We use the offer of Google AdWords Conversion to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising material (so-called Google AdWords) on external websites. We can determine in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns how successful the individual advertising measures are. We are interested in showing you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.
